Importing Songs to Propresenter

We use SongSelect by CCLI for most of our lyrics & songs, makes it easy to work with the worship team.

Lyric Template

If you are typing/translating lyrics. Doing it in whatever program you are comfortable with is encouraged. By using the following format, importing into propresenter will be a breeze!

Section groups with a colon, one line between sections, two lines between slides in the same section. If bilingual, put the translated line directly after the english one.

Procedure

1. Use the File -> Import menu
   1. Then choose Text from Clipboard if the lyrics have been Ctrl-C ed from somewhere
   2. Or choose Songselect and search for the song if pulling from online (use CCLI #)
2. Then a popup will show where you will
   1. Set the theme to Song Default or Bilingual Song Default under "AFA themes "
   2. Choose the Library to put the new song into
   3. (Optional) Pick what service/playlist to put the song in
3. Before clicking Import, Click Edit bottom left and do the following:
   1. Split the song is into slides well (2ish lines per language per slide)
   2. Check the groups of the song are correct (Verse #, Chorus #, Tag #)
   3. Add two blank slides
      1. One will be marked as "Intro"
      2. One will be marked as "Blank"
4. Now press Import
   1. The song is in, and can be used!

Bilingual Songs

Typically you'll have to go through the normal import process for a brand new song as just English. Then you can do the following.

1. Change the song's theme to Bilingual Song Default
2. Open the song in the slide editor
3. Put each page's translated lyrics into the "Spa Lyrics" box

This allows us to show either lyrics on the stage screen, and over have more flexibbility.
